Editorial policy

Last updated 24 September 2026

European Startup Insider covers startups, founders, funding and events across Europe. This page explains the standards we hold ourselves to.

Editorial independence

Our editors decide what we cover and how. Advertisers, sponsors, investors and the companies we write about do not approve, review or influence our reporting. Commercial relationships never change a story’s conclusions.

Accuracy and sourcing

  • We verify claims against primary sources, such as filings, announcements and the people involved.
  • We name our sources wherever we can, and explain when we cannot.
  • We separate reporting from opinion and label opinion clearly.

Sponsored content

Paid content is always labelled as sponsored, at the top of the page and wherever it appears in listings. Sponsors may not edit our independent journalism, and sponsored pieces are kept visibly apart from it.

Featuring startups

Being featured in a story or spotlight is an editorial decision. If a feature involves payment of any kind, we say so.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it promptly. Significant corrections are noted at the foot of the article with the date of the change. To report an error, email media@europeanstartupinsider.com with the article link and what should change.

Conflicts of interest

We disclose relevant interests when they exist, such as a financial stake or a commercial relationship with a company we cover.
