Technology Yours, a Houston IT services company founded in 2010, has finished moving a long-established Houston healthcare provider onto new infrastructure without any downtime, the company said in April. Staff based in the US, Europe and Asia worked on the project, which also gave the client secure remote access, through the cloud, to its historical data.

The job is small by the standards of enterprise IT, but it is the kind of work that decides whether a services firm keeps a client. A healthcare practice that has run for decades tends to carry years of patient and business records on older systems, and it cannot simply close for a weekend while those systems are replaced.

Founder and chief technology officer Muhammad Farooq Rathod announced the completion on 27 April. He described it as another complex migration for the company, which suggests it is not the firm's first project of this type. The provider itself was not named.

What the Houston client got

The announcement covers two pieces of work. The first is the migration itself: the client's infrastructure was replaced while its operations kept running, with no period in which staff lost access to their systems. The second is access to older data. Technology Yours set up a secure cloud-based route so the provider can reach its historical records remotely rather than only from on-site machines.

For medical practices, those two goals often pull against each other. Keeping everything online during a switch argues for leaving the old setup in place as long as possible, while opening up historical records to remote access means changing how and where that data sits. The company says it managed both in a single project.

ESI could not find public details on the volume of data moved, the cloud platform chosen, how long the project ran or what it cost. Those figures would help other buyers judge the scale of the work.

A small team spread over three continents

Rathod started Technology Yours in Houston in January 2010. The company sells managed IT with round-the-clock support, cybersecurity work that extends to industrial and operational technology systems, cloud hosting, custom software and mobile apps, and digital marketing. It also moves businesses onto Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.

Its company page lists a headcount in the 11 to 50 range. The firm is privately held, and ESI found no record of outside investment, so it appears to have grown on its own revenue for more than 15 years.

The Houston project relied on that distributed set-up. Having engineers in different time zones can let a services firm schedule cutover work outside a client's opening hours without asking one local team to work through the night. European readers will recognise the set-up: a US client served by a team split across several countries.

The founder's European ties

Rathod has spent more than 20 years in IT operations and digital transformation. For close to two decades he ran IT at Gerry's dnata, part of Emirates Group, in Karachi, before building his own companies. Besides Technology Yours, he founded UpStride Holdings and PortugalTaxis.com, and he divides his time between Lisbon and the San Francisco Bay Area.

His European profile has grown this year. On 17 September he gave the keynote on the Unicorn Stage at Startup Summit Lisbon 2026, held at the Beato Innovation District, under the title "From Zero to Series A: What Nobody Tells You". The talk drew on his years running technology businesses, though Technology Yours itself has not raised a Series A or any disclosed round.

Disclosure: Muhammad Farooq Rathod is also the founder of European Startup Insider.

What comes next for Technology Yours

The company has not said whether the healthcare work will lead to further projects with the same client, such as ongoing managed support or security monitoring, both of which it already offers. Nor has it put a number on how many healthcare clients it serves.

What the April project does give it is a reference case in a sector where buyers are cautious about changing suppliers. For a firm of its size, the next test is whether it can repeat a no-outage migration at a larger provider, and whether it starts to publish the figures that would let prospective clients compare it with larger IT providers.
