Revolut will invest $13 billion (£10 billion) over the next five years to drive its international expansion. The company announced the commitment on 23 September 2025, on the day it opened its new global headquarters in London's Canary Wharf. It says the money will support the creation of 10,000 jobs worldwide.

Where the money goes

The biggest single allocation is $4 billion (£3 billion) for the United Kingdom, which Revolut says will support more than 1,000 new jobs there. A further $1.2 billion (£880 million) is earmarked for its Western Europe hub in France, and $500 million (£375 million) will go to accelerating its operations in the United States. The rest will fund growth in other European markets and launches in new markets across Latin America, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.

The targets

Revolut said it had passed 65 million customers worldwide, 12 million of them in the UK. It set a firm timeline to reach 100 million retail customers by mid-2027 and to enter more than 30 new markets by 2030. Revolut Business, its division for companies, recently passed $1 billion in annualised revenue.

Progress by region

In Latin America, Revolut expected to launch as a bank in Mexico early the following year. It said it was moving ahead with plans to enter Colombia and Argentina, and a further bank licence application was in the pipeline for 2025.

In Asia-Pacific, a payments licence secured in April 2025 has Revolut preparing to launch in India. The company has set up a new global tech hub in the Philippines and is working towards more licences in Australia and New Zealand.

Africa and the Middle East are newer ground. Revolut is making its first push into Africa, beginning with South Africa, and was recently awarded an in-principle payments licence in the UAE.

In Europe, it announced a new Western Europe headquarters in Paris in May, together with plans to apply for a French banking licence. Branch launches in Portugal and Belgium were also announced for 2025.

Four pillars of growth

Revolut says its growth rests on international expansion, product innovation, the continued growth of Revolut Business and strategic partnerships. On products, its chief technology officer and co-founder Vlad Yatsenko and Tara Massoudi, general manager of premium products, pointed to AI and private banking as areas of focus. The company's 65 million customers process more than a billion transactions a month.

Revolut Business also runs an acquiring arm, which now handles over 4 million monthly payments for merchants. On partnerships, Revolut discussed its global tie-up with the future Audi F1 Team, including plans for special-edition co-branded cards.

The chief executive's view

Chief executive and co-founder Nik Storonsky said the company's mission has always been to simplify money for its customers, and that its vision of becoming the world's first truly global bank is the ultimate expression of it. The new London headquarters, he said, is "the launchpad for our future" and will be central to reaching 100 million customers.
